Fabulous Frog Facts about the Goliath Frog


Goliath Frog (Conraua goliath)

The Goliath Frog (Conraua goliath) of West Africa (mainly Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea) is the worlds biggest frog. Its body alone can reach almost 13 inches in length from snout to vent. The male Goliath frogs can weigh up to 8 pounds and females can weigh up to 7 pounds. They can live up to 15 years in the wild. In captivity, they can live up to 21 years. The Goliath Frog also has the longest leap of any frog- easily clearing 10 feet in a single hop. This frog is classified as an endangered species. ,,,/\_(Ф~◦ ◦~Ф)_/\,,,
